Frequently Asked Questions

I do not currently hold a passport, is a passport number required?

The passport number is used to provide the Malaysian Authorities with a list of accepted delegates to streamline Visa procedures. If you do not currently hold a passport but have applied for one, it is fine to put [none] or your national ID in the box. However, please update it as soon as you receive your passport. While you may put [none] in the box please do not make up a random number such as [99999999], as that may cause misunderstandings along the way with immigration authorities. For US Residents and Citizens and others that do not require a visa on entry, [Not Required] in the box.

I'm on vacation right now, can I have an extension?

We will accept you if and when space becomes avaiable. Typically that means that if you apply late, you will only get to attend if other delegates have canceled their spot for scheduling or travel reasons. HPAIR encourages you to apply as early as possible.

Will HPAIR issue official invitations for Visas into Malaysia?

Yes, accepted delegates will receive official visa support letters from HPAIR.

What does the registration fee cover?

USD 350 covers fees for Gala dinner, 2 lunches on days of the conference, access to panels/plenary with 40 renowned speakers, and conference material, venue for the conference events, and all other fees required for conference operations and fees that you would normally see in the registration fee of any conference in general. HPAIR is a non-profit student organization and therefore all fees cover our costs.

If I applied for financial aid, how do I check the results?

If you have been awarded financial aid, this amount will be reflected in a lowered registration fee shown on the status page. This decision is made concurrently with your application.

Will I receive an official receipt for payments?

Yes, you will; if you have already paid, this can be found in the letters section of the registration portal.
