SMU Ambassadorial Corps

As part of SMU's 10th anniversary celebrations, The SMU Ambassadorial Corps (ASMU) is helming this project to bring HPAIR 2010 Asia to Singapore. The SMU Ambassadorial Corps was set up in August 2003 to offer exemplary SMU undergraduates the opportunity to hone their skills as external relations representatives of the university. These student ambassadors engage external guests that range from foreign VIP delegates to prospective students.

Besides hosting distinguished guests within the SMU Campus, student ambassadors also work closely with the SMU administration in organizing and managing university projects which reach out to the university's external stakeholders. Recruitment for new Student Ambassadors involves a stringent interview process that takes place in the first half of each year. Currently, SMU has 58 Student Ambassadors which comprise of freshmen to senior year students of various nationalities.
